The Gardens

The garden is situated at a height of 1,250 meters/4,101 feet above sea level and forms part of a man made terraced landscape. The climate is very seasonal with very specific spring, summer, autumn and winter seasons. Having warm summers and cool winters often under snow, 2009 variations were 32ºC/89.6ºF to -6ºC/21.2ºF. Irrigation water is also often scarce during the summer months and we have a water distribution system giving each garden the correct amount.

Since their small beginings the gardens have gradually increased in size and now almost 3,000 m2 is already cultivated. Each particular dry stone terrace is divided into smaller gardens with their individually created design concepts. The secret garden, The House garden, Circular walk, The Camino garden and Olive terrace.

Each garden is linked with a previous one and as the paths emerge through the terraces they take you through to some of the most spectacular viewing points over the valley below.
