If you would like to become a member of the Association Jardin de la Alpujarra this costs €10 per year for which you can come and visit the garden as many times as you wish and you will receive 10% discount on plant purchases.

The association should be a meeting place for people who are interested in horticulture and gardens, it is not just about the one site that we have at Cortijo Opazo.  To broaden its scope we need members who are keen to take on this side of its development.

We would also welcome members who want to become more involved in the running of Jardin Alpujarra, beit it helping out on open days, contributing towards the catering, organising or helping with events and activities, or working in the garden itself.  Please get intouch and let us know you are interested.

We are always keen to hear from people who would like to volunteer.  The garden always needs work, so if you live locally and would like to make a regular commitment of time. eg. one morning a week, one day a month etc. then please get in touch.  Get involved and make the garden your own.

We would also welcome volunteer help in other ways, such as helping out on open days or with organising activities and events.  If you have time to spare but don't fancy digging, weeding or composting, then there are many other things you can do.
