Oksana ZhylinskaVice-Rector for Research of Taras Shevchenko National Kyiv Doctor of Economics, Professor

Born August 14, 1970. In 1992, she graduated with honors from the Faculty of Economics of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University.
From 1992 to 1996, she pursued postgraduate studies at the Department of Management of Innovation and Investment Activity of the Faculty of Economics at Taras Shevchenko National Kyiv.
In 1996, she defended her Candidate of Sciences dissertation entitled “Organizational and Economic Mechanism for the Implementation of Priority Areas in the Development of Science and Technology in Ukraine.”
From 1997 to 1999, she worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship. From 1999 to 2004, she served as Associate Professor at the Department of Management of Innovation and Investment Activity.
Between 2004 and 2007, she pursued doctoral studies at the Faculty of Economics of Taras Shevchenko National Kyiv.
From 2007 to 2011, she worked as Associate Professor, and from 2011 to 2019, she headed the Department of Management of Innovation and Investment Activity of the Faculty of Economics.
In 2015, she defended her doctoral dissertation entitled “Development of Scientific and Technical Activity: Theory and Practice of Activation” and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Economics.
From 2020 to 2021, she served as Vice-Rector for Research of Taras Shevchenko National Kyiv. Since 2021, she has been Professor at the Department of Management of Innovation and Investment Activity of the Faculty of Economics.
Professor Zhylinska is a specialist in innovative mechanisms for stimulating scientific and technical activity, management development, organizational management under wartime conditions, and the governance of research universities.
She is the author of 260 scientific and educational publications, including one sole-authored monograph, 16 collective monographs, 40 educational and methodological works (including 14 textbooks and teaching manuals), and 160 scientific articles (24 indexed in Scopus and 25 indexed in Web of Science). She also holds four author’s certificates.
She has completed academic fellowships and professional development programs at Ludwig Maximilian Munich (Germany), the Prague Institute for Qualification Enhancement (Czech Republic), and Northumbria University (United Kingdom).
Under her supervision, 2 Doctors of Economics, 13 Candidates of Economic Sciences, and 2 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD) have been trained. She has also supervised a recipient of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Award for Young Scientists and numerous winners of national and international student competitions.
Professor Zhylinska is actively engaged in expert and public activities. She is a member and chair of specialized academic councils and editorial boards of professional journals. She served as an expert and Academic Secretary, and since 2021 has been Chair of Section 17 “Economics” of the Scientific Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. She also heads the “Management and Marketing” Section of the Junior Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. She is a guarantor and developer of higher education standards and academic programs in the field of Management.
For her significant contribution to the development of science, higher education, and the strengthening of state institutions, Professor Zhylinska has received numerous state, departmental, and public honors. Among the highest state distinctions is the honorary title “Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine.” She has also been awarded numerous certificates and distinctions from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
